Date: march 14th -individuals

Where? Sporthallen Zuid, Amsterdam
Costs? 20 euros per individual
For whom? It’s a kyu tournament for individuals and there’s two dan tournaments (ladies and gentlemen each have their own division). For those without a dan-grade: please first consult one of the sensei whether you’re ready for this tournament, since there is a kyu-division, as mudansha there’s a chance you’ll get pretty far, however, be aware the level cam still be high. Dan-grade holders are expected to know what they’re signing up for.
What’s so fun about this? This may be the most-internationally oriented kendo-thing available in the Netherlands. A lot of countries send their national team, you’ll also find a lot of lost Germans and Belgians that are willing to make the extra mile to attend this tournament. It’s a good spot to get to know new people from abroad.

Date: march 15th – teams
Where? Sporthallen Zuid, Amsterdam
Costs? 20 euros per team (of 5, so 4 euros)
For whom? We’re allowed to send as many teams as we want, but it should be in groups of 5. We’ll select primarily on “willpower” to attend, secondarily on “skill level”, lastly on “what works on a practical level?”
What’s so fun about this? It would be nice to have one (or several) Shinbukan teams present on an international event

Please respond below whether or not you like to participate, and if you want to join a team.

Unfortunately I will be unable to compete this year, because I leave for winter/mountain training that weekend.

This is by far the best tournament we have in the Netherlands, so you will do well to join. Not to win, but to have fun, meet new people, and be inspired by good kendo.
